The Orion LS 24V Automatic Double Swing Gate Opener is a robust and slimline automation system designed for smooth and reliable operation of residential and light commercial double swing driveway gates.
Featuring an ultra-compact 80mm-wide linear actuator, the Orion LS is particularly suitable for narrow gate post installations from approximately 100mm while providing flexible installation geometry for a wide range of swing gate configurations.
Powered by an efficient 24V DC motor, each actuator delivers 1200N of thrust through a metal gear set and steel lead screw. The system features a stainless steel telescopic piston, durable die-cast and extruded aluminium construction, adjustable open and closed limit stops, and key-operated manual release.
The Orion LS is designed for low-resistance and low-wind-loading gates and can support gates up to 4.2 metres long or 350kg per gate, subject to the manufacturer's gate size and weight specifications.
Choose between an Electric 24V system for properties with access to mains power or a Solar 24V system for remote, rural or difficult-to-wire installations.

Orion LS – 24V Electric Kit
The standard electric version of the Orion LS provides reliable 24V low-voltage gate automation for properties with access to mains electricity.
The Premier SW24 control system provides automatic gate learning, soft start and slowdown, pedestrian opening mode, adjustable automatic closing, obstacle detection and support for a wide range of safety and access-control accessories.
Optional battery backup can also be added to maintain gate operation during a mains power outage.
This option is ideal for residential and light commercial installations where mains electricity is readily available.
Orion LS – 24V Solar Kit
The solar-powered Orion LS uses the same 24V Orion LS actuators while replacing the conventional mains-powered system with a dedicated solar charging and battery system.
The system includes a monocrystalline 24V solar panel, adjustable mounting hardware, CERO PWM solar regulator and 24V deep-cycle battery system.
Solar panel configurations of 60W, 120W and 180W are available, together with different battery capacities, allowing the solar system to be configured according to gate usage and site conditions.
This option is ideal for rural properties, remote entrances or installations where running mains power to the gate would be difficult or expensive.
Important
Maximum gate length and weight ratings depend on the relationship between gate size, gate weight, wind loading, hinge resistance and installation geometry.
For large, heavy, fully clad or high-wind-loading gates, the appropriate automation system should be selected according to the manufacturer's gate size and weight specifications.
Photocell safety beams are not included with the Base Kits and should be selected separately where required.
